2. What shutter speed do you think the photographer used and why? A fast shutter speed, maybe 1/60 because the dog in the photo is still, and dogs rarely ever stop moving.
3. What aperture setting do you think the photographer used and why? A large aperture (F3.5-F5.6) because of the shutter speed being so fast, there needs to be more light let in.
4. What ISO setting do you think the photographer used and why? A low ISO because the picture was taken during day time, and mostly ISO is used for dim lighting, or night shooting.

4. What ISO setting do you think the photographer used and why? Low ISO. It is a black and white photo and doesn't appear to be too grainy for film.

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately you may have missed the class in which we discussed the difficulty of determining aperture, shutter speed or ISO from exposure alone. Exposure is quite complex: it is the sum of all these factors and available light. I advise you to judge aperture settings by apparent DOF, shutter speed by the presence and appearance (blurred? crisp?) of objects in motion, and ISO by the presence of noise.
